Introduction
(or Tuesday the 3rd of January 2023). This is a fast day for the house of Judah because Jerusalem was besieged on this day and later the House of the Lord was destroyed by the Babylonians. God will one day turn the fasts into feasts. We fast also on the 10th day of the 7th month, the day of Atonement, Yom Kippur. Is there a connection? Yes. The number 10 is related to God’s House. It is about judgement and mercy depending on our obedience. It is related to getting a Bride for God’s Son the lamb of God! Significant things happen on the 10th day or the 10th month or the 10th hour. We know that there are 10 commandments for God’s House. The number 10 has great significance for the House of Israel & Judah and those called by His name amongst the nations. We should take note.
- A Passover Lamb was selected on the 10th day,
- We are to afflict ourselves on the 10th day,
- Jerusalem was besieged on the 10th day.
- a Queen came into the Kings House on the 10th day,
Houses are related to the 10th
Genesis 28:22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.
Exodus 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
John 1:37-39
37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
38 Then Jesus turned, and saw them following, and saith unto them, What seek ye? They said unto him, Rabbi, (which is to say, being interpreted, Master,)
where dwellest thou?
39 He saith unto them, Come and see. They came and saw where he dwelt, and abode with him that day: for it was about the tenth hour.
Queen Esther came into the Kings royal house in the ‘tenth month’.
Esther 2:16 So Esther was taken unto king Ahasuerus into his house royal in the tenth month, which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.
10th Day & the Judgement & Salvation of God’s House
10th day of the 1st Month – Mercy
Salvation came to Israel on the 10th day of the 1st month in that the Passover Lamb was to be selected. The literal Passover lamb in Egypt with the first exodus is symbolic of the Lamb of God, Yeshua that covers us in anticipation of the 2nd Exodus and rapture for the wedding. The Lamb pays the price for exiting Pharoah Satan’s house of Sin and entering Yeshua’s House, His congregation. So the 10th day begins the redemption when the Lamb is selected.
Exodus 12:2-3
2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
Now that we have been purchased by God through the Sacrifice and blood of His Son, we are to be ready to enter Canaan. But in order to spiritually fight we need our flesh to be put to death. This is illustrated by the covenant of circumcision which is literally the covenant of the word, ‘brit milah’.
Joshua 4:19 And the people came up out of Jordan on the tenth day of the first month, and encamped in Gilgal, in the east border of Jericho.
Ezra 10:16 And the children of the captivity did so. And Ezra the priest, with certain chief of the fathers, after the house of their fathers, and all of them by their names, were separated, and sat down in the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter.
10th day of the 7th Month – Justice
Six months after the 10th day of the 1st month comes judgement and marriage.
In Leviticus we are instructed to keep the Day of Atonement, Yom Kippur which occurs on the 10th day of the 7th month. We are to afflict our souls.
Leviticus 16:29 And this shall be a statute for ever unto you: that in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, ye shall afflict your souls, and do no work at all, whether it be one of your own country, or a stranger that sojourneth among you:
Numbers 29:7 And ye shall have on the tenth day of this seventh month an holy convocation; and ye shall afflict your souls: ye shall not do any work therein:
Psalms 79:5 How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever?
shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
Song of Solomon 8:6 Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.
Leviticus 23:27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
Leviticus 25:9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
We can be encouraged even in a time of judgement
I Peter 4:17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
When the enemy comes in like a flood God will raise up a standard against him, Isaiah 59:19. But the priests job is to sound the Silver Trumpet and gather the Elders and people.
Numbers 10:2-5
2 Make thee two trumpets of silver; of a whole piece shalt thou make them: that thou mayest use them for the calling of the assembly, and for the journeying of the camps.
3 And when they shall blow with them, all the assembly shall assemble themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
4 And if they blow but with one trumpet, then the princes, which are heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.
5 When ye blow an alarm, then the camps that lie on the east parts shall go forward.
II Chronicles 20:9 If, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help.
Joel 2:30 And I will shew wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood, and fire, and pillars of smoke (literally ‘Palmtrees of smoke’, תִֽימֲרוֹת עָשָׁן).
Song of Solomon 3:6 Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, (תִֽימֲרוֹת עָשָׁן) perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?
Zechariah 8:19
Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
The fast of the fourth month,
and the fast of the fifth,
and the fast of the seventh,
and the fast of the tenth,
shall be to the house of Judah
joy and gladness,
and cheerful feasts;
therefore love the truth and peace.
Revelation 8:3-4
And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Song of Solomon 1:12 While the king sitteth at his table, my spikenard sendeth forth the smell thereof.
Judgement comes to God’s House on the 10th day but it may be a good judgement if we are found worthy to escape all these things and stand before the Son of Man.
Luke 21:36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

The Babylonian Invasion
Due to the House of Judah’s disobedience the Lord used the King of Babylon to invade Jerusalem and exile her people. It is not without reason that he came on the ‘tenth day’ of the ‘tenth month’. God was saying something. Judah had broken their vows and been unfaithful. They were not divorced, even though they deserved it, but they were exiled. They had broken his covenant and the 10 commandments and the Lord made that clear from the very date the invasion began.
II Kings 25:1 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he, and all his host, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it; and they built forts against it round about.
Jeremiah 39:1 In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, came Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his army against Jerusalem, and they besieged it.
Jeremiah 52:4 And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and pitched against it, and built forts against it round about.
Ezekiel 24:1-2
1 Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.
10th day of the 5th Month - Temple Burned
It is not by accident that the 10th day of the 5th month that the House of the Lord, His Temple was destroyed. God was saying something. It was His fingerprint on the judgement because the 10th day represented the covenant being broken and the house rules being transgressed and so the the House of God was burnt with fire due to the Lord’s anger. God had in fact put up with a great deal of sin before He had finally had enough.
Jeremiah 52:12-13
12 Now in the fifth month, in the tenth day of the month, which was the nineteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, came Nebuzar–adan, captain of the guard, which served the king of Babylon, into Jerusalem, 13 And burned the house of the LORD, and the king’s house; and all the houses of Jerusalem, and all the houses of the great men, burned he with fire:
So this is why the elders gathered to the prophet Ezekiel on the 10th day of the 5th month, because this was when the House of God, the Temple was burned with fire by the Babylonians.
Ezekiel 20:1 And it came to pass in the seventh year, in the fifth month, the tenth day of the month, that certain of the elders of Israel came to enquire of the LORD, and sat before me.
Ezekiel 33:21 And it came to pass in the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth month, in the fifth day of the month, that one that had escaped out of Jerusalem came unto me, saying, The city is smitten.
Ezekiel 40:1 In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year after that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither.
By the way, the day before is the Jewish fast called 'Tisha b’Av' the fast of the 9th day of the 5th month called Av, to remember and Atone for the sin that caused the temple to be burned. A lack of brotherly love caused both temples to be destroyed on the same day. Perhaps the Rabbis should reexamine their baseless hatred of Yeshua before they make a pact with the devil to build a temple made by hands. Jerusalem's covenant with death shall be annulled, Isaiah 28. They are still in the Spirit of Antichrist, selling Joseph to Pharaoh instead of laying their lives down for Him. But the remnant of Judah shall understand, they are those that tremble at His Word. We are coming into a time where the true Israel of God will tremble. God save the King, great David's greater son, the son of Joseph, Yeshua. And the Father saved Him and He rose from the dead because he had done no sin.
1st day of the 10th Month – On Top of the World
Genesis 8:4-6
4 And the ark rested in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains of Ararat.
5 And the waters decreased continually until the tenth month: in the tenth month, on the first day of the month, were the tops of the mountains seen.
6 And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made:
Just as Elijah ran from Jezebel for 40 days and nights so shall the remnant of Israel escape the fall of Satan and His Angels that shall also fall for 40 days and nights as foretold by the account of Noah’s flood. Noah’s flood is symbolic for the end time exodus as is the flight of Elijah. Where did Elijah go? To mount Horeb, which is Sinai. That is the wilderness of the people. We are about to go on a journey called the 2nd exodus.
Before we leave we are going to have a huge persecution in our once christian nations. I believe it takes hold before Passover this year if this is the year. I believe the shaking is already beginning. I am expecting physical earthquakes to accompany this period of travail, this time of sorrows as Matthew 24 declares.
The 10th month is not only about judgement of God’s House, like when the King of Babylon invaded Jerusalem, it is also about the rescue of God’s House, His People! The Ark rested on Mount Ararat on the 17th day of the 7th month and by the 1st day of the 10th month the tops of the mountains were seen.
Our God is a covenant keeper. It’s no longer about America, Australia, Great Britain etc. It’s about us. It is about His Kingdom. It’s about His House at the real Number 10.
